At the TCEE, we have a variety of high-quality, developmentally appropriate programs available, most with flexible schedules which can meet the needs of busy modern families.
TCEE Ts Toddler Program for children are aged 18 – 33 months
Toddlers build nurturing relationships with teachers and enjoy first friendships while learning to cope with being away from their parents and caregivers. Teachers facilitate their growing curiosity about the world. The children take joy in observing Shabbat and celebrating Jewish holidays all year long!
Meets 9 am – 12:45 pm with flexible schedule options from 2 – 5 days a week.
Preschool Program for children aged 2 years, 9 months through 4 years
2, 3 or 5 day options available. Younger preschoolers thrive and grow as part of a community. They begin to build friendships and group interaction skills that will support them through life. They begin to use tools and symbols to help them refine their understanding of the world, and celebrate their own independence by building self-help skills. They enjoy celebrating Shabbat and Jewish holidays, with a particular focus on the symbols associated with each.
Meets 9 am – 1:00 pm with flexible schedule options from 3 – 5 days a week.
PreKindergarten (PreK) Program for children who will be 4 years old by August 31st
Children in our PreK program celebrate their growing skills and independence by beginning to focus on pre-academic skills. This five (5) day a week program builds children’s peer relationships, with a particular focus on cooperative work and verbal problem-solving skills. They study Shabbat, Jewish holidays, and Judaic values, and with an emphasis on asking “why?” and answering their own questions.
Meets 9 am – 1:00 pm, 5 days a week only.
Transitional Kindergarten for children who will be 4 years old by August 31st
The Transitional Kindergarten (TK) class is a way for older Pre-K students to become acquainted with the longer school day and daily routines of a Kindergarten-style classroom. This includes extended literacy, science, and social studies explorations, along with many opportunities for small group work. The class will enjoy field trips, and have an ongoing co-constructed emergent curriculum throughout the school year.
Meets from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, M-TH and until 2:15 pm on Friday, 5 days a week only.
Early Drop-off, Enrichment and Extended Day Programs
Mixed-age grouping supports children in separating from parents and building self-help skills and independence. An arts-based focus promotes children’s self-expression, imagination, and communication skills and supports our older children’s ability to be peer models and to further master skills by “teaching” younger peers. Younger children benefit from learning from older classmates.
- Early drop-off is available for all TCEE students from 7:30 am or 8:00 am daily
- Enrichment programs from 1pm – 3 pm daily or Super Enrichment until 4pm daily
- Extended day from 1 pm – 6pm daily
- Drop-in is available with 24 hour’s notice, space permitting
